An upscale resale store that provides retail and customer service training opportunities.

PARTICIPANTS learn how to operate a cash register, give change, stage items, take stock and inventory along with facility maintenance and recycling.

Participants develop self-confidence as they learn customer service skills.

All these skills will help ensure that participants will become equal contributors to society, as well as superb team players in the workforce.

Our trainees learn a variety of tasks, such as how to:

Sign in and sign out of a work log
Greet and help customers
Answer the telephone and take a message
Operate the Square app and sales transactions
Make change for cash purchase

Sort and organize the various donations
Display items in the salesroom
Price items for sale
Create a display for sale items
To fix a salvageable item, or to repurpose it into something new to sell to our customers

Unique Boutique Thrift Store

Cashier and check out

Participants learn to run the cash register, count change, run a credit/debit card, bag items and apply customer service skills.
Display and decor

Participants learn the art of staging items for resale.
Stock and inventory

Participants receive donations to sort and organize to go into the thrift store for sale. Inventory is also part of the process. These skills make our participants more marketable to local businesses.
Facility maintenance

Vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, and taking out trash are all necessary parts of facility maintenance and daily life skills.
Repurposing and recycling

In this program, participants take donations that may normally be discarded and either recycle them or repurpose them into new sellable items. In this program, clients can develop skills to create items they can use to sell in the store or on Etsy or other platforms.

On The Job Training Opportunities

A wide variety of training, social and educational offerings are designed for participants to eventually gain meaningful employment in the community. Participation programs are flexible and tailored to the needs of each individual. Self pay programs begin at $30 for each half day and $60 for full day program.
