Cup of Dreams Tearoom
Cup of Dreams Tearoom is a café where participants learn all aspects of operating a commercial food service.Open Tues-Sat, 10:30 to 2:30 pm call 904-595-5381 for reservations
All participants begin their journey with the Kitchen-to-Table course which allows them to earn a Food Handlers Certificate for food safety. Training continues with ongoing food preparation skills, kitchen management, and customer service skill building. Our Dining Room Professionalism course prepares participants to become confident hosts and servers. Skills include facility maintenance, responsibility, food preparation and storage, following recipes, plating food and more.
Unique Boutique
Unique Boutique is an upscale resale store that provides clients with retail and participant service training opportunities in a retail setting.
Participants develop self-confidence as they learn participants service skills, how to operate a cash register, give change, stage items, take stock and inventory along with facility maintenance and recycling.
The Secret Garden
The Secret Garden provides horticultural experiences and training under the guidance of Master Gardeners.
Participants learn plant identification and care and organic practices. They get to see first hand how items they grow in the garden are used in the kitchen or prepared to be sold in the store. In addition, participants learn about composting fruits and vegetables from the kitchen to be used for soil in the garden.
SociAbilities
SocialAbilities is a social hub with a variety of in-person activities designed to foster relationships and develop social skills in a fun and safe environment.
SociAbilites activities are based on evidence-based practices and are well staffed. At present, this program is supported by the City of Atlantic Beach Cultural Arts and Recreation program and is free to participants. Activities take place at PossAbilities Plus and in the local community.
