Kitchen to Table is a supported certificate class.
This six-week course allows participants to work through Servsafe® materials with the support of a trainer. Participants learn valuable skills such as kitchen hygiene, food safety, and sanitation. At the end of the course, each participant will have two attempts to pass an online test. Participants receive one-on-one testing support and accommodations. Participants completing this course receive a Food Handlers Certification from Serve Safe. Certificates last three years and allow participants to work in the food industry.
This is a series of continuing classes provided to participants and the community to enhance cooking skills, food choices, and confidence in the kitchen.
A course that prepares participants to become hosts and servers in a dining environment.
This is a small group, hands-on course that teaches lessons in becoming polished and poised in the dining room. Working as a team in the dining room, participants experience the power of teamwork and improve this skill.

The Tearoom is open Tuesday-Saturday for walk in seating and takeout from 10:30AM-2:30PM.
Call ahead or reservations in advance are always appreciated. Maximum seating 21.
Participants greet and seat guests in the tearoom while supporting servers. The goals is to help participants develop important communication and customer service skills as well as increasing executive functioning and teamwork.
Participants serve guests in the tearoom while endeavoring to provide a unique dining experience, develop customer service skills, improve executive functioning, strengthen teamwork and leadership, skills. Opportunities to practice math skills are emphasized.
Food preparation, storage and cleaning/sanitation are essential in a commercial restaurant operation, but they also extend to daily living skills. Participants learn the fundamentals of preparing fruits and vegetables by following recipes that are used to create our tasty salads. Plating food attractively is also a skill developed in the Cup of Dreams kitchen.
Participants responsibilities include cleaning floors and surfaces, taking out trash, and cleaning bathrooms. These important skills for daily living and keeping the job site looking spotless are essential for an efficient tearoom operation.
A wide variety of training, social and educational offerings are designed for participants to eventually gain meaningful employment in the community. Participation programs are flexible and tailored to the needs of each individual. Self pay programs begin at $30 for each half day and $60 for full day program.
